Das zweiteilige Tambourine-Hihat funktioniert ähnlich wie ein Paar Hi-Hat-Becken: Das untere Teil ruht auf dem Hi-Hat-Ständer, während das obere an der Hi-Hat-Stange befestigt wird. Es kann, wie Hi-Hat-Becken mit Fuß und Drumstick gespielt werden. Vier Mittelstifte halten die beiden Teile für eine optimale Ausrichtung. Sein heller und kontrollierter Klang harmoniert hervorragend mit einem leisen Cajón/Percussion-Set, bei dem Becken möglicherweise zu dominant wären, oder es kann als zusätzliches Tambourine-Hihat in einem vollständigen Schlagzeug-Set ergänzt werden.
