Das von EVANS entwickelte EMAD (Externally Mounted Adjustable Damper) System dämpft mit einem außen angebrachten Ring und macht weiteres Abdämpfen der Bassdrum innen überflüssig. Mit seiner Hilfe lässt sich der Sound mit wenigen Handgriffen verändern. Das einlagige Fell liefert die ideale Mischung aus Punch, Lautstärke und tiefen Bässen.
